Youghiogheny River River Trip

On Friday September 6, 21 scouts and 7 adults left the Eagles Nest for the Youghiogheny River. Approximately 7.5 hours later, we arrived at our overnight spot, a church in Chalk Hill Pennsylvania. Saturday was a beautiful day, about 80F, with no clouds. The younger boys went canoeing on the Upper Youghiogheny. The older boys went rafting on the Lower Youghiogheny. All went well. The scouts are typically well behaved when out in uniform. Transportation was good as the drivers were reminded of safe caravan driving practices. It was a wonderful weekend and trip.
